The Qul’an Trip. The Best of Three Worlds!

The very photogenetic Qul’an Mangrove Forest, a footstep away from the Red Sea, is part of the Wadi El Gamal National Park, a protected area that is very rich in biological diversity. The Qul’an mangrove forest protects the shore against coastal waves, preventing land erosion. It has turned into a shelter and nursery and is home for nesting grounds for coastal birds. Qul’an’s unquestionable landmark is its majestic odd-shaped mangrove tree, towering above the ‘lake'.

The local Al Ababda tribe adds to the Bedouin flavour of Qul’an with their camp, lunch tent and shop. Here you can buy amazing handcraft or have ‘gabana’ coffee, freshly roasted in your presence in authentic ambiance.

During this intriguing adventure we will also put on our masks and fins, effortlessly wading into the water, straight from the stone free beach to appreciate the fifty shades of blue at Sharm El Luli at Ras Hankorab! After two minutes of swimming in the company of your snorkeling guide, you are entering an amazing world that looks like a magical underwater forest. This is splendor in the true sense of the word.

The coral formations and marine life at Sharm El Luli are truly amazing. The riot of colours, the shapes and the sizes of dozens of different corals are just stunning. Once you’ve completed your snorkeling adventure, pamper yourself with chillout time in the bedouin tent on the gorgeous white beach. Should you fancy a souvenir, than you cannot miss out on the Bedouin women selling traditional beads and necklaces.

To top of our tour of the best of three worlds, our next stop is at the intriguing lake at Nayzak. Urban legend has it the lake is a result of the impact of a meteorite. Regardless, it is a beautiful, natural rock pool, shaped like an eye and as if filled by turquoise blue tears from above. The enchanting, scenic scenery is definitely worth to get off the beaten track. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem!
